Election Advisory Committee

The role of the Election Advisory Committee (EAC) is to advise the Chief Electoral Officer on the functioning of the Election Act, particularly on the financing of the political process.

Committee members include the Chief Electoral Officer, two representatives for each registered political party that is represented in the Legislative Assembly, and one representative for each registered political party that had candidates in at least 1/2 of all electoral districts in the most recent provincial general election. Currently the BC Green Party, BC NDP, BC United, and the Conservative Party are represented on the Committee.

The Committee meets at least once per year and the minutes of these meetings are open to the public.
