The B.C. provincial general election is scheduled for October 19, 2024.
You can get ready by making sure your voter registration is up to date, finding your new electoral district, and learning about the new voting processes we’re using to run the election.
Be ready for the election when it is called by registering or updating your information today. Registered voters will get a Where to Vote card from Elections BC. Bring it with you when vote to help make voting faster and easier.
There will be new electoral districts for the 2024 provincial election. Knowing your district is important because it determines your candidates and nearest voting places. Enter your address in the My District App to find your district.
New voting processes will be used to administer the 2024 provincial election. This includes using networked laptops instead of paper lists to look up voters and cross them off the voters list. This helps us serve voters faster.
Electronic tabulators will be used to count paper ballots. Tabulators are accurate, secure and efficient. They help us report results quickly on election night.
