Candidate List

The list below shows candidates who have filed a complete standing nomination with Elections BC. Standing nominations are candidate nominations submitted before a general election is called. Standing nominations can be filed with Elections BC at any time before September 21, 2024. After the election is called, ordinary nominations can be filed with district electoral officers until 1 p.m. on September 28, 2024.

The list below does not show all candidates that have declared publicly that they are running. It only shows the nominations that have been accepted by Elections BC. This list is updated daily.

Candidates endorsed by registered political parties will have the party listed next to their name on the ballot. Candidates may also choose to run as unaffiliated, with no party listed next to their name, or as an independent, with the word “Independent” listed next to their name.

Party affiliations can be cancelled at the request of either the political party or the candidate. In these cases, the individual continues to be a candidate and would appear on the ballot as unaffiliated. Alternatively, candidates that wish to represent a different political party or run as an independent candidate can withdraw and resubmit a new candidate nomination. The list of candidates and their party affiliations (if applicable) will be finalized after nominations close on September 28 at 1 p.m. Pacific Time.
