Register to Vote

Online and phone registration for the 2024 Provincial General Election has now closed, but you can still register in person when you vote.

To register to vote in British Columbia, you must be:

• a Canadian citizen, 
• 18 or older,
• a B.C. resident for the past six months, and
• not disqualified from voting.

Voter registration notices

Between August 22 and September 6, 2024, Elections BC sent voter registration notices to every address in B.C. The notices encouraged voters to get ready for the 2024 Provincial Election by making sure their voter registration was up to date.
