VICTORIA – A discussion paper on the more frequent disclosure of political contributions is now available.
The discussion paper was written in response to a request received by the Chief Electoral Officer from the Attorney General to “undertake a process of evaluating the requirements for more frequent contribution reporting” and give consideration to the following questions:
The discussion paper addresses these questions and summarizes the frequency of disclosure of political contributions in Canada and the United States and identifies options for implementing more frequent disclosure of political contributions in B.C.
