Multiple full-time and part-time temporary positions available 
4 – 10 months in length
Applicants internal to the BC Public Service – temporary appointment to Clerk 9 – Clerk 15 (depending on position)
Applicants external to the BC Public Service – hired under the Election Act – $27.48 – $32.32 per hour depending on position (plus bi-weekly compensation allowance for health and welfare)

Elections BC is looking to fill a number of temporary administrative positions in support of the 43rd Provincial General Election. Most work terms will start in June 2024 for four to ten months and will be located at either our Victoria or Saanichton offices.

  • Ensure the effective functioning of accounting activities for temporary district electoral offices
  • Reviews and reconciles financial documents from district electoral offices
  • Prepares and processes journal vouchers

    • Supervises the provision of front line services to stakeholders
    • Resolves a variety of contact centre issues
    • Directs the production and maintenance of voter information and address registration data

    • Provides information, advice and guidance about the financing provisions of the Election Act
    • Conducts reviews of campaign financing disclosure statements
    • Reviews applications and recommends the registration of nomination contestants, candidates and advertising sponsors
    • Reviews documents and data for acceptance criteria, and prepares for publication
