Provincial Elections 101

Provincial elections in B.C. take place on the third Saturday in October every four years. The next one is scheduled for October 16, 2021.

In a provincial election, voters elect Members of the Legislative Assembly. Each Member represents an electoral district (also known as a riding or constituency) and has a seat in the provincial Legislature.

Meet Our Partners

We work with our partners to make sure that all eligible voters have the information they need to vote. Our partnerships help us reach voters who face barriers to participation, including:

  • youth
  • people with disabilities
  • Indigenous people
  • new Canadians
  • people living homeless

We work with partners to host events, share resources, make connections, and gather feedback so that we can best serve all voters in B.C.
