Peace River North Recall Petition Unsuccessful

PEACE RIVER NORTH RECALL PETITION UNSUCCESSFUL

VICTORIA – The petition to recall Dan Davies, Member of the Legislative Assembly for Peace River North, has failed. The petition was not submitted to Elections BC by April 4, 2023, the deadline established by the Recall and Initiative Act.

The petition was issued to proponent Joseph Wayne Bell on February 3, 2023. A total of 23 voters registered as canvassers to collect signatures.

The recall proponent, MLA and advertising sponsors must file financial disclosure reports with the Chief Electoral Officer by May 2, 2023.

Twenty-nine recall petitions have been issued since the Recall and Initiative Act came into force in 1995. None have met the requirements established by the Act.
