Election official safety

The health and safety of our staff and voters is our top priority. That’s why we’ve been working with the Office of the Provincial Health Officer and WorkSafeBC to make sure that election workers have a safe work environment during COVID-19.

All voting places will follow our voting place safety plan and have safety precautions in place, including:

  • physical distancing
  • capacity limits
  • regular cleaning
  • hand-sanitizing stations, and
  • personal protective equipment and protective barriers.

We will supply all election officials with the personal protective equipment they need to work safely.
