Media Advisory: Non-Election Assent Voting Disclosure Statements Available

VICTORIA – Disclosure statements of advertising sponsors for the following non-election assent voting events are available for public inspection on the Elections BC website (elections.bc.ca/lecfa) and a discussion paper on the more frequent disclosure of political contributions is now available.

Under the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act (LECFA), disclosure statements must be filed with B.C.’s Chief Electoral Officer within 90 days after General Voting Day. The filing deadline for these events was 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016. The statements include expenses of each filer and information regarding contributions they received.
