Media Advisory: Westside-Kelowna By-election Preliminary Voting Results

July 9, 2013

VICTORIA – Preliminary voting results for the Westside-Kelowna by-election will be reported on Elections BC’s website as they become available after 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, General Voting Day.

Voting results will be updated regularly at http://bit.ly/19ZaPX0 while initial count takes place at 16 voting locations in the electoral district.

Preliminary voting results will include:

• number of votes cast for each candidate
• percentage of popular vote for each candidate
• number of ballot boxes reported
• total number of ballot boxes

General voting locations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013.

Absentee ballots will be counted during final count, scheduled to begin on July 23, 2013. Final count may begin earlier if circumstances permit. Final results will be available on Elections BC’s website after the conclusion of final count.
