Late Filing of Third Party Sponsor Initial Disclosure Report

Under section 243.01 of the Election Act, third party sponsors must file an initial disclosure report with Elections BC within 14 days of spending $10,000 on election advertising during a provincial general election. Section 250.001 of the Act requires Elections BC to publish the name of any sponsor that does not meet this requirement.

The National Police Federation, a registered third party sponsor during the 2020 Provincial General Election, did not meet this requirement. Their initial disclosure report was filed after the 14 day period and is now available here.
