2024 Provincial Election

The 2024 BC election has been called. Final Voting Day is October 19, 2024.

You can vote if you are:

• a Canadian citizen,
• 18 or older on October 19, 2024, and
• a resident of B.C. since April 18, 2024.

Voters will elect 93 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs). Each Member represents an electoral district (or riding) and has a seat in the provincial Legislature. The political party with the most seats in the Legislature will form B.C.’s next government

There are lots of ways to vote from now until Final Voting Day on October 19. Eligible voters can vote:

• at any district electoral office during office hours
• by mail
• at advance voting from October 10-13, and October 15-16, or
• on Final Voting Day, Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Elections BC will deliver Where to Vote cards to registered voters before advance voting starts on October 10. Look for yours in the mail and remember to bring it with you when you vote.

New voting processes

New voting processes are being used to administer this election. This includes using networked laptops instead of paper lists to look up voters and cross them off the voters list. This helps us serve voters faster.

Electronic tabulators will be used to count paper ballots. Tabulators are accurate, secure and efficient. They help us report results quickly on election night.
