Media Advisory: Advance Voting for the Kelowna West By-election Starts Tomorrow

VICTORIA – Advance voting for the provincial by-election in the Kelowna West electoral district starts tomorrow and runs until Sunday, February 11. General Voting Day is Wednesday, February 14.

To be eligible to vote in the by-election, an individual must be a resident of the Kelowna West electoral district, 18 or older on February 14, 2018, a Canadian citizen, and a resident of British Columbia for the past six months.

Voters should note that not all advance voting places will be open every day of the advance voting period. A list of voting places and the dates they are open is available on the Elections BC website at the link below.

Voters can also refer to their Where to Vote card, or use Elections BC’s Where to Vote application to find voting places close to them. The application can be found on Elections BC’s website at elections.bc.ca/wtv.

The hours for advance and general voting places are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All advance voting places are wheelchair accessible.

Voters are reminded to bring their Where to Vote card and ID with them when they vote. A list of acceptable voter ID is available at elections.bc.ca/id.

Advance voting turnout statistics will be posted on the Elections BC website after each day of advance voting.
