Media Advisory: 2017 Provincial General Election Report Available

VICTORIA – The Report of the Chief Electoral Officer on the 2017 Provincial General Election is now available on Elections BC’s website at the link below.

The report consolidates new and previously published information into one official and historical record of Elections BC’s administration of the election, per the requirements of sections 13 and 215 of the Election Act.

New information includes:

• a report on the pre-election enumeration (page 19)
• voter turnout by voting opportunity (page 50) and age group (page 56)
• expenses incurred by Elections BC (page 479)

The report also includes key event statistics, voting results by voting area, and summary financing reports from political participants.
