The Local Elections Campaign Financing Act (LECFA) is an important piece of legislation that is critical to ensure that campaign financing rules and advertising requirements in local elections are being addressed. It covers the rules that local candidates, elector organizations and third party advertising sponsors must follow. These rules enhance accountability and transparency by requiring disclosure of financial transactions associated with running a local election campaign.
As a Compliance Specialist you will work in a team to conduct compliance reviews of these disclosure statements. You will ensure the disclosure statements comply with LECFA, contact financial agents to address issues or concerns, and finalize statements for public distribution.

The next local elections will be held across B.C. on October 20, 2018. Join our team of Compliance Specialists and gain valuable experience in this unique temporary role. We offer two weeks of comprehensive training, continuous learning, a fun dynamic team environment and the opportunity to serve democracy and build your resume.
